I love candy bars…oh, and chocolate! I mean, who doesn’t? When The makers of the new Balance mini energy bars asked me if I would be willing to do a review, I jumped at the chance! With my trying to be vigilant in my 90 day Weight Loss Challenge I was concerned a bit about what these new energy bars actually were made of. I took one with me to the gym and compared the ingredients to the other energy and protein bars with one of the fitness experts there. What I found was that this bar is in truth, Balanced! LOL… The ingredients are crafted using a proven 40-30-30 principle. Each bar contains the perfect caloric balance of carbs to protein to fat, help stabilize blood sugar, and satisfy your hunger. Each box of Balance mini energy bars includes 10 mini bars. In each bar there is 7 grams of Protien and a variety of 23 Vitamins and Minerals! But my favorite part was finding out that each bar contained only 100 calories! These Balance mini energy bars do indeed offer the lasting energy we all need as we go throughout our busy day!

The hubby loves any kind of energy bar or drink so when the postman showed up with the box of Balance mini energy bars for me to review he was excited….and when we saw the flavors, well, we were all so excited that we downed two-thirds of the box in 2 days! Johnnie and Angie absolutely loved them! And I have to agree, these bars are very tasty. The double chocolate brownie flavored ones actually do remind me of eating an awesome baked brownie! And the Cookie Dough flavor is just as divine in taste! When Angie tasted these bars her first words were “OMG…Mom…OMG…There’s a party in my mouth…That was AMAZING…Can we get more?” The only problem we found was that these bars were so good that they kept us wanting more!

Balance also sent me a wonderful reusable zipper closure Itzy Ritzy snack bag that is perfect to carry snacks along. This bag would also be great to keep electronics, baby items, sandwiches, fruit or small travel items in! The labeling states it has a water resistant lining. I decided to test this out and actually poured about ¼ cup of water into the bag! Nothing leaked out! Angie was impressed and immediately claimed this bag to carry snacks in her backpack this year at college!
